Our Costs
At Thornton Rose we have no permanent sponsors so we must rely on donations from members of the public, one-off grant funding and our amazing team of volunteers fundraising to run.
Our JustGiving page is the fastest and easiest way to donate to help support our group, however if you would like to discuss any other ways to donate, please get in touch!
There are many costs associated with running our RDA group, such as.….
Livery Fees
We pay between £7,500 and £10,000 per year livery fees to be based at Thornton Farm.
Veterinary Bills and Farrier fees
We expect to pay between £1,500 and £4,000 per year for routine check-ups, vet call outs, diagnosis and treatments.
Our horses have to get new shoes every 6 to 8 weeks. Farrier fees costs us roughly £2,300 per year.
Feeds and much more….
There are around £2,500 of other costs like feedstuffs, medication, insurance, tack, maintenance of our equipment etc.
Please consider supporting our group so we can continue changing the lives of people with disabilities in Midlothian.
